Paradise Accelerator Card for Windows
Windows 3.1 Driver Installation Information
and Driver List
If you are installing the Paradise Accelerator Card for Windows 3.x drivers
for the first time, you may disregard the installation information below.
Please refer to the user manual for installation instructions.
If you have previously installed an earlier version of Paradise Windows 3.x
drivers, you must make some modifications to your Windows setup before
installing the latest version of Windows 3.1 drivers. Without these
modifications, unexpected results may occur.
Follow these steps:
1. Using Windows Setup either from within Windows or from the DOS prompt,
select the standard VGA driver for your display. To do this from Windows,
first select the Windows Setup icon, and then choose Options. Next,
select Change System Settings and then select VGA from the list of options
for Display.
If you are at the DOS prompt, change your directory to C:\WINDOWS, type
SETUP and press <ENTER>. Select the Display choice and then select VGA
from the list of available options. Finally, select Accept the
Configuration.
2. If you are not already within Windows, enter the Windows Main screen and
delete the Paradise icon (if present). This is done by clicking once on
the Paradise icon and then selecting Delete from the File Menu.
3. Either through the Windows File Manager or from the DOS prompt, delete all
of the following files that are present. The files are located in the
Windows System sub-directory, e.g., C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\
HVGA1024.DRV
HVGA1280.DRV
HVGA640.DRV

4. Either through the Windows File Manager or from the DOS prompt, delete all
of the following files that are present. The files are located in the
Windows directory, e.g., C:\WINDOWS\
WDSETUP.BMP
WDSETUP.EXE
WDSETUP.HLP

5. At this point you are ready to install the Windows 3.x drivers as
described in the Paradise Accelerator Card for Windows User Manual.
